The Wainuiomata Stream winds through Moores Valley and acts as a tributary to the Wainuiomata River
The Wainuiomata Stream (also known as Wainuiomata-iti Stream) joins its waters with the Wainuiomata River at Richard Prouse Park. Originating from a steep hill between Naenae and The Blue Mountains, it descends towards Brookfield behind Moores Valley. Meandering through Moores Valley, the valley adjacent to Sinclair Valley, where the Wainuiomata River courses. It empties into the Wainuiomata River at the eastern side of Richard Prouse Park. There is a natural swimming hole nearby, but the bank is very steep and potentially unstable. The image depicts the convergence of Wainuiomata Stream into the Wainuiomata River.
