Passengers Saloon: Misses Owen, Murdoch (2), Smith, Harris, Hinchcliffe, and Bushnell, Mesdames Clark, Hinchcliffe, Bushnell, Bacon, Green, and Read, Messrs Hinchcliffe (2), Brown, Adams, Aikman, Murdoch, Jessop, Gavin, Cozan, Mendelsohn, Lawson, Munro, Williams and Aitken; 10 in the steerage. D. Mills, agent. (Page 19) An engine constructed by Mr Clark, Hobart Town, was landed on the wharf on Jan 23 for Messrs J. & D. Sinclair, Wainuiomata. It is intended for use on the tramway in connection with Messrs Sinclair sawmill. (Also NZ Times 24 Jan 1880)
