Catchpool Valley once featured private huts used for accommodation before entering the Remutaka Ranges. Although these huts are no longer present, the area now hosts a campground equipped with toilets, showers, and gas barbecues. Catchpool Centre is also available for bookings, functions, conferences, and family events. While there are no huts here today, numerous huts still exist in the adjacent Remutaka Forest Park and Orongorongo Range.
