Pictured is the meadow on the Gums Loop Walk in 1989.
In 1989, the grass looks greener at this meadow as there is no discernable path through like there is today. The gum trees were also younger and consequently would have let in more light. Despite that, this was still part of a walkway that took you to the swing bridge, albeit an older swing bridge.
20 years earlier or thereabouts, I walked through here numerous times as a young child. It was mostly fields, but I remember when the gum trees were planted.
