Sluice Pipes

These pipes run beneath the old dam are located next to Sinclair Tunnel. The pipes were added to reduce pressure on the dam wall during major floods. They were constructed in response to the catastrophic damage caused by an earlier flood. The contractor who built them later took his own life. Learn more →
