City councillors will pay a visit of inspection to the newly constructed Solomon’s Knob reservoir at Wainuiomata tomorrow. The city engineer, Mr W. H. Morton, is keen for the council to view the new dam, which is now full, with the contract having been practically completed by Messrs Martin, Hurrell, and Snadden. The reservoir has cost approximately £50,000 to construct.
Conveyances will leave the Town Hall at 10 a.m., and a light luncheon will be provided at the destination.
