Wild dogs, writes “Sanitas” to the Post, are causing problems in the hills behind Wainuiomata. They appear to be hunting in packs, and their attacks have gone beyond merely worrying sheep – they are now killing deer. The carcasses of deer have been found near the banks of several streams that flow into the reservoir, raising concerns about the impact on Wellington’s water supply.
