SERIOUS ROBBERY.

CONTRACTORS’ OFFICE ENTERED.

£200 OF WAGES MONEY STOLEN,

NO CLUE TO THE PERPETRATOR.

WELLINGTON, July 21. The office of Messrs Martin, Hurrell and Snaddon, contractors, who are carrying out extensive work at the Wainuiomata reservoir, was entered on Tuesday and two bags stolen, one containing £185 in gold and the other £15 in silver. The money was intended to pay wages to-day. So far no clue has been obtained as to the perpetrator of the theft.
