“Cobb’s Barn” (also known as the Shearing Shed or Wool Shed) situated on the Cobb family’s farm along Coast Road in Wainuiomata. This property was located approximately one kilometre south of where the Wainuiomata Golf Club now stands. The Cobb family were among the early settlers in the area, and their farm, including the barn, was a notable landmark for many years. The barn was mostly destroyed in a storm around the year 2018.
