Photo of Hine Road Wainuiomata in the late 1950s. The hillsides show extensive logged areas overgrown with gorse. The street itself is still under development, with new houses appearing alongside many vacant sections. At the bottom of the image on today’s western edge of Richard Prouse Park, the 30-inch and O-K pipelines are visible, with power poles running beside them.
