Nikau Creek Valley Terrace is a plateau located on the opposite bank of Nikau Creek, running parallel to the Nikau Creek Track in Wainuiomata Regional Park. Once home to a firebreak, the regenerating forest now offers a delightful walk among young native trees. In the 1970s, a bivouac constructed from mānuka and kānuka was found here. The terrace connects to Gums Loop Meadow and extends to a similarly flat area on the southern side of Reservoir Valley if you follow the hillside instead of emerging out to Gums Loop Walk.
