Pukeatua Bridge crosses over the top of Wainuiomata Road. The bridge links pedestrian and cycling pathways along Lower Hutt’s eastern hills. It eliminates the temptation for people to cross the road amidst 80km/h traffic. The name of the bridge was decided upon by the Wainuiomata community. It means ‘Summit of the gods’.
