Looking inside the Wainuiomata Water Race. This two-kilometre concrete tunnel was built in the early 1880s and decommissioned in 1902. It is mostly buried and concealed among native bush, but there are a few places where it is visible. If you click on the photo, then go fullscreen and use the zoom tool, you can see cave weta clinging to the ceiling.
