From a ridge above Moores Valley Road, looking westward, you can spot Moohan Street, Bryan Heath Park, Fitzherbert Road, Wainuiomata College, and the summit of Wainuiomata Road. In the distance, wind turbines near Makara are visible, along with some peaks of the South Island. To get to this view involves walking up Dynamite Creek and then following a track that runs along the ridgeline.
