An aerial photograph taken on 09 of April, 1954 shows the upper portion of Moores Valley in Wainuiomata. This image is interesting because you can clearly see the Strand Brothers’ tramline, running from Naenae to Moores Valley. This tramline was used to log Moores Valley and transport the logs to Naenae where a mill was located.
