Two hidden tanks can be found along the track to Crowther Trig. It is unclear whether they were supplied by the Skerretts Creek Catchment which had its own tanks or connected to the Wellington City Council (WCC) water supply. Their destination is also unknown—they may have served as a private water source for a property below the hill or possibly linked to the Skerretts Creek pipeline.
While not entirely concealed, the tanks are easy to overlook when walking the track. To find them, one must venture slightly off the main path into the bush. They are located near an old gate that once restricted access to the track.
