Scout Hut, also known as Pearson Hut, stood from 1912 until 1995 in Reservoir Valley. Tom Vivian Pearson (1914–2003) and later his son John Devonald Pearson (1944–present) were the lessees of a hut along Reservoir Road, situated at the northern end of what is now the Gums Loop Track. This area, known as The Terrace, is elevated above the riverbank. The hut stood from 1912 until 1995 when it succumbed to a fire. Nearby, there was another hut known as Mackay Cottage.
