The City Engineer is now busily engaged upon the plans and specifications for the extension of the water-storage area at Karori. Mr Morton is well pleased with the prospects at Karori, where a greater quantity of water has been running to waste since March last than has been conserved.
Mr Morton recently visited the Wainuiomata reservoir to inspect the repairing work that was carried out some months ago to stop the leakage that had been going on through breakages in the banks. The walls of the reservoir were found to be in excellent condition.
