Rock Pool is located in Richard Prouse Park, near the driveway entrance off Hine Road. Its name comes from a prominent hill above that comprised of rock and was the site of a quarry for many years. At one time, a road/ track from Moores Valley Road connected with a ford that crossed the river just upstream from the pool. Some of the photos in the gallery below show this road and ford.
