Bivy Track is a steep track providing a useful link between Camp Wainui and numerous other tracks.
Bivy Track is a steep track that links Scholes Creek Track and Camp Wainui (Boys Brigade) on the Coast Road to McKerrow Ridge Track. It’s a there and back track, but you can connect to Mount Crowther Track or walk along the ridge to McKerrow Track. Bivy Track is challenging due to being a steep and narrow trail that can be a hard to see at times. It links up with Scholes Creek Track and meets the creek at the track’s base. Nearby is Camp Wainui, which offers accommodation and an emergency bivy.
