Bivy Track is a steep track providing a useful link between Camp Wainui and numerous other tracks.
Bivy Track is a steep track that links Scholes Creek Track and Camp Wainui (Boys Brigade) on the Coast Road to McKerrow Ridge Track. It’s a there and back track, but you can connect to Mount Crowther Track or walk along the ridge to the McKerrow Track. Bivy track is challenging due to being a steep track. It links up with Scholes Creek Track and meets the creek at the track’s base. Nearby is Camp Wainui, which offers accommodation and an emergency bivy.
