Wainuiomata: Adventure (Page 3)
Wainuiomata adventure related articles sorted by date.
Photographing Wainuiomata’s natural landscapes and historic sites requires more than simply arriving with a camera. It involves exploring the land closely, following old tracks, pushing through overgrown bush and paying attention to details that might otherwise be missed. Each outing becomes part investigation and part adventure, shaped by careful preparation and the discoveries made along the way.
Some expeditions have a clear destination, while others begin with little more than a direction and a willingness to explore. Old structures, forgotten pathways and subtle changes in the landscape often reveal themselves unexpectedly, with photographs helping to record not only what remains, but also the experience of finding it.
