Speed of Car

To the coroner: The speed of Barlow’s car would not have been more than 15 miles an hour when approaching the intersection. Thomas Victor Marchant, aged 16, who witnessed the accident, said the motor-cyclist veered toward his right as though to pass at the rear of the car and then veered to his left as though to run with the car. The motor-cycle, however, struck the car on the left side and the rider was thrown off. Witness did not notice any speeding on the part of the vehicles. It seemed to him that the motor-cyclist had his attention drawn to a car which had just passed him. He did not appear to notice the second car until it was too late.
