Finding the Massive Skerretts Creek Landslide

Tony Weir and Lance Stewart set out around the year 2020 to locate the enormous landslide that can be seen on the distant hills behind Wainuiomata. It may have been triggered by the severe storms of May 2015. An older landslide lies in the neighbouring gully to the west and is believed to have occurred sometime during the 1950s.
