The Rātā Ridge Track offers glimpses across the Wainuiomata valley and surrounding hills. The view opens between the trees, contrasting the dense bush of the Northern Forest with the residential streets and open land below. Lees Grove and Gardiner Grove can both be seen, marking the lower entrances to Lees Grove Track and Fern Gully Track. Combined with a section of Rātā Ridge, these tracks form an enjoyable loop walk taking approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.
